Tably (package name: com.olekkdev.tablauncher) is an Android home screen launcher. Almost everything happens on your device and stays on your device. The only data sent off-device is anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics). Both are opt-out in the app settings.
The following data is stored and processed locally only and is never sent to any server:
Manual backup: You can export your settings and organization data as a JSON file using the in-app backup feature. The file is saved to a location you choose via the system file picker. It contains tabs, categories, pinned apps, and settings. It does not include wallpaper images, app icons, or any personal content.
Android Auto Backup: Your settings and database may be backed up to your Google Drive through standard Android backup, operated by Google LLC (Google Privacy Policy). This is controlled by your device's backup settings and your Google account—not by Tably. Legal basis: your consent via device backup opt-in.
Tably uses Firebase Crashlytics (operated by Google LLC) to collect anonymous crash reports. When the app crashes, the following is sent:
Purpose: Identify and fix bugs that cause crashes, improving app stability.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining a stable, reliable app (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Encryption: All crash data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Retention: Crash data is retained for 90 days. Aggregated crash-free statistics may be retained longer.
Opt out: You can disable crash reporting in Settings → About → Send Crash Reports.
Tably uses Firebase Analytics (operated by Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage data. The following is sent:
Counts and durations are grouped into ranges. Tab names, category names, the text you search, and raw app or package names are never sent.
Purpose: Understand how the app is used in aggregate to guide product decisions.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in improving the app experience (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Encryption: All analytics data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Retention: Event data is retained for 2 months by default. Aggregated reports may be retained longer.
Opt out: You can disable analytics in Settings → About → Send Analytics.

Tably does not collect, store, or transmit:
Your data is never sold and is never used for advertising.
Tably does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Launchers need a few permissions that may look broad. Here is exactly what each one does and why:
The system wallpaper is accessed via WallpaperManager (a standard Android API) to render the app drawer background. This does not require any additional permission and the wallpaper bitmap is held in memory only, never stored or transmitted.
Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics process data on servers in the United States. These transfers are covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and their data processing terms. No other data leaves your device.
Tably is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through crash reporting, contact us at olekkdev@proton.me and we will take steps to delete it.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email olekkdev@proton.me.
Tably does not sell personal information to any third party. Anonymous crash reports and analytics sent to Firebase are used solely for bug fixing and product improvement and are not shared for advertising or marketing purposes.
The person responsible for the protection of personal information is Oleksandr (olekkdev), reachable at olekkdev@proton.me. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of personal information held about you, and to be informed of any disclosure to third parties.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. For significant changes, a notice will be included in the app's update notes.
